Cobra Technologies Announces DocMigrate!(tm) for Domino.Doc
Seamless Migration from Legacy Systems to Infrastructure-based
Integrated Document Management
ANAHEIM, Calif., May 12, 1998 -- At AIIM 98, Cobra Technologies, Inc. today announced DocMigrate!(tm), a migration and import tool providing users of legacy document management applications with a simplified migration path to Lotus Domino.Doc. Organizations using older, unsupported versions of document management applications can now move to Lotus' best-selling integrated document management (IDM) solution more easily and efficiently with Cobra Technologies' new product.
"Our customers made it very clear that they have been reticent to upgrade their traditional 16-bit document management applications because of the complexity and overhead of in migrating so many documents containing so much valuable information," said Brian Rowe, President of Cobra Technologies. "We've designed DocMigrate! to enable organizations to take advantage of the quantum leap in functionality available in today's premier IDM solution, Domino.Doc, easily and efficiently."
DocMigrate! offers seamless migration from products such as SoftSolutions, PCDocs, as well as any 32-bit ODBC-compliant document management system to Lotus Domino.Doc. Companies using Lotus Notes databases for document management can also incorporate the specialized capabilities of Domino.Doc with new ease and efficiency.
"Today's businesses know they need open, extensible and distributed document management provided by Domino.Doc in order to capture and leverage their valuable, documented intellectual assets. But how to accomplish this cost-effectively and with minimal risk is another matter," said Scott Cooper, general manager, Lotus Imaging and document Management Group. "DocMigrate! takes the 'growing pains' out of their upgrade, making it possible for organizations to incorporate Domino.Doc into their IT infrastructure and reap the benefits of document life cycle management and global IDM."
DocMigrate! is the second offering in Cobra Technologies' growing line of products designed to work with Domino.Doc. The Cobra Image Router(tm) 2.0, generally available now, communicates directly with the Hewlett Packard Network ScanJet 5 to intelligently route images into the Lotus Notes and Domino environment. In addition to its products, Cobra Technologies' successful team of consultants also specialize in assisting organizations planning a Domino.Doc implementation.
