Cobra Technologies and ITM Associates Bridge the Gap Between Paper and Digital Workflow
Orlando, FL, January 27, 2003 - Cobra Technologies and ITM Associates today announced the immediate offering of a strategic alliance solution that leverages latest releases of Cobra Image Router v4.1 and ITM's PDF inFusion eForms v5.1.
This powerful combination of Cobra Image Router (CIR) and PDF InFusion (eForms) targets organizations that want to leverage the power of eForms workflow where they still have a need for ink signatures in the process. For example, an insurance carrier may want to offer its agents or customer the ability to complete forms on-line. Once they complete the form and submit the data, the regulatory authorities may still require an ink signature. When you print the form, eForms applies a unique bar code. Once signatures are complete and the form received, the form is scanned via CIR and automatically links the signed document to the submitted data in a secure database. ,
"The response has been overwhelmingly positive," comments Ian Altman, President of ITM Associates. "Hospitals, State, Local, and Federal Agencies, insurance and financial services companies have been under pressure to streamline workflow and put more processes on-line to reduce costs and improve service. Until now, the ink signature was the stumbling block. This integration helps those organizations get up and running within 60 days."
The CIR-eForms solution was developed to address the lack of support in many organizations infrastructures to support digital signatures despite the growing need to do so. While most organizations invest heavily each year to place a variety of forms and data on line; many admit their organizations respectively will always have a required need for a hard copy/ data capture component; such as ink signatures on industry standard forms The ability to complete a PDF on-line, delivering electronic data capture and being able to add manual components is key. Having an intelligent way to track and effectively remarry the signed form and the data is crucial.
"The combination of CIR and eForms truly integrates electronic forms, imaging and barcode technology in a very practical and cost effective fashion," remarks Cobra Technologies President Brian Rowe, " Clearly these solutions, when used together, bridge the gap between paper and electronic workflow."
