Cobra Technologies Announces Cobra Image Router™ Version 4.5

Tallahassee, FL., April 30, 2003 -- Cobra Technologies, Inc. today announced the immediate availability of Cobra Image Router™ (CIR) version 4.5 in continuing evolution of the market leading imaging solution for the IBM Lotus Dominoä environment.
Building on the latest features added in v4.0 and v4.1, CIR v4.5 supports compatibility with Lotus Notes and Domino 6; offers new features for the E-Mail routing method; provides improved CIR logging; and allows for the importing of OCR text results directly into a Domino.Doc profile field. CIR v4.5 also introduces the Image Enhancement Module to provide for image manipulation.
In addition to support for Lotus Notes and Domino 6, new features for the E-Mail routing method include copy (cc:) and blind copy (bcc:), as well as Encrypt, Sign and Prevent Copy for Notes users. The improved CIR logging captures the following data fields, Enter Data, Choose Data, Optional Descriptive, Additional Descriptive, and Barcode values. For the Domino.Doc routing method, OCR text results can now be imported directly into a Domino.Doc profile field. With version v4.5, the Image Enhancement Module is introduced to CIR, which allows for Despeckle, Deskew, Adjust Contrast, Adjust intensity, Sharpen, Remove hole punches, Invert, Line removal, Smooth and grayscale image support.
CIR communicates directly with network scanning devices to intelligently route images to virtually anywhere within the Lotus Domino? environment – a binder in Lotus Domino.DocÒ, any Lotus NotesÒ database and Lotus NotesÒ or Internet Email addresses. CIR in conjunction with the Cobra OCR Module can produce fully searchable images and deliver TIFF, PDF Image+Text, RTF, HTML, dBASE, Excel and ASCII Text file formats. CIR supports devices from Axis Communications, HP and Xerox.
