Orlando, Florida, January 15, 2001 Cobra Technologies, Inc. today announces
Cobra Image RouterTM (CIR) version 3.52 in continuing evolution of their CIR solution.
New features in the latest release of CIR include the ability to scan paper documents directly to searchable PDF format (PDF image+text); index your document at the point of scan using the scanner's control panel; provide batch scanning using barcode separator pages; automatically route and index document images using our Barcode Recognition Module; and support for the latest versions of Lotus Domino and Lotus Domino.Doc. The new release also includes a Lotus Domino Release 5 configuration database.
CIR communicates directly with the HP 9100C Digital Sender and the Xerox Document Centre family to intelligently route images into the Lotus Notes and Domino environment, where CIR can take advantage of Domino's powerful routing capabilities. A CIR image is routed just like a Notes document to a Domino.Doc binder within a file cabinet, any Lotus Notes database application, a Notes mail address, an Internet address, a fax destination, or all of the above. Using Lotus Domino, CIR enables users to publish paper documents immediately and directly to the World Wide Web from the scanner.
CIR will convert paper documents into the following file formats: MTIFF (muti-page TIFF), PDF, searchable PDF (Image+text) and searchable and editable OCR rich text.
